Apricot Delight

 

Features

British sweet dish. Served as dessert

 

Ingredients  (Click here for measurement conversion)

Cream - 0.5 cup

Sugar - 0.5 cup

Egg - 1, well beaten

Lemon juice - 0.5 teaspoon

Flour - 0.5 cup

Baking powder - 0.5 teaspoon

Salt - 0.5 teaspoon

Cinnamon - 0.5 teaspoon

Cloves - 2

Milk - 2 Tablespoons

Apricot preserves - 0.75 cup

 

Method

  • Add sugar and cream until fluffy.

  • Add egg and lemon juice, mix together well.

  • Sift together dry constituents and add milk.

  • Divide the batter into two equal halves.

  • Put half the batter into greased 9\\\"x9\\\" pan.

  • Cover it with apricot preserves.

  • Top with remaining half of the batter.

  • Now bake at 400 deg F for 25 minutes or until it becomes golden.

  • Allow to cool down and cut into squares.
