Bubble & Squeak

 

Features

British non-vegetarian dish. Served as main course

 

Ingredients  (Click here for measurement conversion)

Butter – 25 gm

Onion - 1, chopped

Potatoes – 450 gm, cooked and mashed

Cabbage – 225 gm, cooked and chopped

Beef - 4-6 sliced, cooked and chopped

Salt – to taste

Pepper – to taste

 

Method

  • Melt the butter in a large frying pan.

  • Add the onion and sauté gently for 5-6 minutes until soft, stirring from time to time.

  • Add the potatoes, cabbage, beef, salt and pepper.

  • Continue to fry for 15 minutes at medium heat.

  • Stir them from time to time, until browned and crispy.

  • Serve immediately.
