Steamed Beef with Pepper

Ingredients (Click here for measurement conversion)
Sirloin Steak – 450 gm
Green pepper - 1, deseeded
Corn flour - 2 teaspoons
Soya Sauce - 4 teaspoons
Dry Sherry – 2 Tablespoons
Peanut oil - 1 Tablespoon
Vinegar - 1 teaspoon
Spring Onions - 2, thinly sliced
Spring Onions – as needed, to garnish

Method
Cut the steak, across the grain, into slices, about 3mm thick.
Arrange the slices in a shallow heatproof dish.
Slice the green pepper into thin strips and add to the beef.
Blend the corn flour with the Soya sauce, dry sherry, peanut oil and vinegar.
Pour the blended mixture over the beef and green pepper.
Sprinkle over the sliced spring onions, then toss with a fork.
Cover and steam over boiling water for 8 - 10 minutes, until the beef is tender.
Serve immediately, garnished with the spring onion.
