Sweet Corn Soup

 

Features

British Vegetable item, Served as a starter

 

Ingredients  (Click here for measurement conversion)

Cooked Sweet corn - 275 gm

Butter - 25 gm

Flour - 25 gm

Water - 300 ml

Vegetable Stock Cube - 1

Milk - 600 ml

Salt and pepper - to taste

Chives - 1 Tablespoon, chopped (to garnish)

 

Method

  • Melt the butter in a pan, add the flour and stir for 2 minutes.

  • Gradually add the water and milk, with constant stirring.

  • Sprinkle in the stock cube and cook until the soup thickened.

  • Add the sweet corn, salt and pepper and leave over medium heat for 5 minutes.

  • Garnish with chopped chives.

  • Serve hot.
