Apple Red Chilli Chutney

 

Features

Served as dip/chutney, suitable for vegetarians

 

Ingredients  (Click here for measurement conversion)

Apples, peeled, and coarsely chopped - 4

Red chillies - 4

Brown sugar - 0.5 cup

Vinegar - ⅓ cup

Garlic - 8 cloves, grated

Water - 1 cup

Fresh marjoram - 1 Tablespoon, chopped

 

Method

  • Place apples and chillies in a heavy saucepan with sugar, vinegar, garlic and water.

  • Bring to boiling over medium heat.

  • Then lower the heat, cover the pan partly and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.

  • Stir in marjoram.

  • Allow to cool, and then refrigerate.

  • Use within a few days.
