Aloo-r Khosha Bhaja

 

Features

Vegetable dish, can be served as a side dish, an east-Indian delicacy

 

Ingredients  (Click here for measurement conversion)

Gram flour - 1 Tablespoon

Potato peels - 1 cup

Oil - 1 Tablespoon

White poppyseeds - 1 Tablespoon

Salt - ⅛ teaspoon

Cayenne - 1

 

Method

  • Put gram flour in a paper bag and add potato peels.

  • Close the bag tightly & shake until the peels are evenly coated.

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat.

  • Add poppyseeds and saute gently until lightly browned.

  • Add salt and cayenne.

  • Add the peels and fry until they are medium brown and crisp.

  • Stir constantly.

  • This will take up to 15 minutes.

  • Remove from heat.

  • Taste best when served hot.

  • This is usually served as an accompaniment with lentils.
