Cabbage Kofta Curry

 

Features

Vegetable dish, served as main course

 

Ingredients  (Click here for measurement conversion)

For Koftas
Cabbage - half, shredded

Plain flour or Gram glour - 2 Tablespoons

Oil - as needed, for frying


For Gravy
Onion - 1, medium

Ginger - 1 small piece

Cardamom - 1

Cinnamon - 1 small stick

Clove - 1

Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon

Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon

Tomato - 2, medium size

Bay leaves - 2

Salt - to taste

Sugar - to taste

Coriander leaves - as needed to garnish

 

Method

  • Take the shredded cabbage in a bowl, add flour and make small round balls with the same.

  • Deep fry the balls in the hot oil and keep aside.

  • In a seperate pan heat 1 teaspoon of oil and add bay leaves.

  • Add the spices, salt, and sugar.

  • Let the paste cook till the oil seperates.

  • You can add little water if the paste is too thick, in order to avoid burning.

  • Switch off the flame and add the koftas.

  • Cover till serving.

  • Before serving garnish with fresh coriader leaves.
