Ingredients for "Koraishutir Kochuri"   (Click here for measurement conversion)

100 gm all purpose Flour
4 small green Chilies
Salt to taste
2 Tablespoons Anise seeds
3 Tablespoons Ghee
1/4 teaspoon Asafetida
1/4 kg Peas, shelled
1-inch piece Ginger
Oil for deep frying




Method for "Koraishutir Kochuri"

Add 2 Tablespoons ghee and add a pinch of salt in the flour and mix it well and add little water at a time and knead to a soft dough. Grind the peas, ginger, chilies and aniseeds to a fine paste. Fry the asafetida till light brown. Add the peas paste and salt. Fry well till the paste is cooked. Remove from the fire and let it cool. Divide the dough into 8 balls. Press each ball in the center and fill it with the pea mixture. Close the opening well and flatten. Roll out as for puris. Deep fry in hot oil on slow fire till golden brown. Drain excess oil and remove from oil. Serve hot with Cholar Dal.
