Features for "Sweet-n-Hot Apple Chutney"
Easter special, suitable for vegetarians
Ingredients for "Sweet-n-Hot Apple Chutney" (Click here for measurement conversion) Rice wine vinegar - 2 cups
Brown sugar - ¾ cup
Red bell pepper - ½, seeded and diced
Poblano chilli - 1, seeded and diced
Jalapeno chillies - 2, seeded and diced
Red onion - 2 Tablespoons, minced
Green apples - 3, peeled, cored and diced
Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
Method for "Sweet-n-Hot Apple Chutney"
In large saucepan bring vinegar to a boil, stir in brown sugar to dissolve. Add all other ingredients except apples and lemon juice. Boil for 8 mintues. Add apples and simmer until apples are tender but retain their shape. Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Serve at room temperature.
