Ingredients (Measurement Conversion Calculator) Vinegar - 2 Tablespoons
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Dry chilli - 4
Salt - to taste
Garlic - 1 clove
Mustard - 1 teaspoon
Peeled prawns - 500 gm
Ginger - 7 small pieces
Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
Tamarind - 1 small piece
Oil - 7 Tablespoon
Onion - 4, medium, finely chopped
Directions
Make a paste of dry chilli, garlic, cumin seeds, mustard, ginger and tamarind. Marinate the prawns with little salt and little turmeric powder. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions until brown. Add the spice paste to the oil and stir constantly. Add remaining turmeric powder and salt and stir constantly. Add prawns, vinegar and 1? cups of water. Cover the pan and let the prawns cook at low heat. Remove from heat when they are tender. Serve hot with plain rice or pilau rice or any Indian bread item.
