Features for "Prawn Pakora"
Non-vegetarian dish, served as snacks / starter
Ingredients for "Prawn Pakora" (Click here for measurement conversion) Peeled prawns - 500 gm
Onion - 200 gm
Ginger - 1\" piece
Garlic - 2 or 3 cloves
Gram flour - 200 gm
Oil for frying - as needed
Salt - to taste
Coriander leaves - 25 gm
Turmeric powder - ½ teaspoon
Green chilli - 4 or 5
Method for "Prawn Pakora"
Make a paste of the onion. Boil the prawns and keep aside to cool down. Make a paste of ginger and garlic. Mix the prawns well with onion, ginger and garlic paste. Take a small amount of the paste and give it a round shape. Mix the gram flour in water thouroughly into a smooth batter. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the pakoras until brown. Try to keep the heat low or medium to fry evenly. Drain excess oil on a kitchen towel. Serve hot with your choice of dip, chutney or ketchup.
